Ive just returned from having 30 mins in a council run gym. I was curious to know what my BG was on return home and it was 4.9. Pre brekkie was 8.8.

Just shows what the exercise can do. I try to go twice a week. Wish I could do more but my disabilty and lack of cash stops me.

Ive just eaten a 'naked bar' to keep me going till late lunch.

Exercise is often a neglected part of good diabetes management, and it's great to see you getting the benefits 🙂 Have you asked your GP if there is any fnancial support so you could go more often (if your disability would allow)? A lot of PCTs have free 12-week memberships.

Thanks. Its a council run one that charges just ?35 per year and each time I go I pay ?3. So its not much.

That's not too bad for cost 🙂

We have a couple of parks nearby (well, within 5 km) that have outdoor exercise equipment in them - ski walkers, cycles, benches and all sorts of things.

I've seen people using them even when it's drizzly too!
