This was some of the buffet food I had at lunchtime today
- 1 warburtons white sliced roll
- 1 melton mowbray pork pie
- 5 cocktail sausages
- 4 mini sausage rolls
- 2 pieces of quiche Lorraine
- 1 piece of sliced ham

I'm going for about 100g

140g

Wow...I went much lower than that after reading the list and not looking others' answers I went 70 to 80g.

I’m going 100. I’d break my guess down as
1 white roll: 30
5 cocktail sausages: 10
1 pork pie: 20
4 sausage roll: 20
2 slices quiche: 20

Hmm, I would probably say about 90g...difficult to judge sizes.

Looking at packets for
-1 warburtons white sliced roll
- 1 melton mowbray pork pie
- 5 cocktail sausages
- 4 mini sausage rolls
Than a complete guess of the size for the quiche

103g of carbs

Carbs and Cals shows a wedge of quiche which looks about the same as you 2 wedges (100g) and shows 20g carb

I went for around 175gm. I had a white roll for lunch and it was 54gm. Then there's all that pastry. But as someone else said, it's difficult to judge the sizes.

I'm going with
Pork pie = 30
Sausage rolls 10 x r so = 40
Roll 1/2 =15
Sausages minimal = 5
Quiche 10 x 2 = 20
Ham even though its breaded I wouldn't count. So my total would be 110g

In the absence of packaging, I would bolus for no more than 70g there.
It depends on the actual size of the items but I'd start with 7 units on my 1:10 ratio and keep an eye on it from there.
I would never trust any app such as Carbs and Cals or anything else for these numbers.

The guesses on here are really interesting with estimates going from 70g to 175g. That sort of difference could cause a serious hypo if you got it wrong. I actually may even remove some of the carby items on the plate as a precaution but it would depend how hungry and brave I felt. The roll would be the one "big ticket" item that I wuoldn't be bothered about setting to one side. It's the single biggest carb item and therefore the single biggest risk.
Once I start getting up to 100g carbs for a meal I start to get a bit jittery about the bolus amount.

This is a good point. Whilst I guessed a high number of carbs, I wouldn’t actually have bolused for that amount. When eating out or at a social situation etc, I bolus for the amount I’m comfortable blousing for so that i can enjoy the situation, which is no more than 80g / 10u at the moment. I’d keep a mental tally of how many I thought I’d eaten above that if I thought I’d eaten more, and I’d test and correct for them later on.
