Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi all, I was told by my GP that I was T2 last December with an HbA1c of 50.
Since then I have seen the local Diabetic nurse and have been on an "Empower" course, eye screening due next week.
I was initially prescribed Metformin which made me feel lousy, this was then stopped by my GP. My biggest concern is the way that I am feeling. I am tingling all over and it's driving me to derision!! I am taking a Statin and a Losartan Potassium tablet for raised blood pressure.
I saw the GP last week and she said that the other meds should not cause these symptons! Does anyone else have this problem? is the T2 that is causing them? any help would be appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
If it were me I would read the patient leaflets very carefully, esp the statin.

Hi @crazyeyes
Sorry you are feeling strange, it must be unsettling for you. We all react differently to medication so as Sue has said, read the leaflets carefully and don’t hesitate to go back to your doctor.
Take care x
