Just a quick question is green tea ok to drink? is it good or bad for us..

Can't see why not 🙂 I think green tea is supposed to be beneficial to health, although I really don't like the taste. It shouldn't affect your levels.

I think there was a campaign that it was high in anti-oxidants (which are still debatable in terms of health benefits) but I read recently that it is no better or worse than ordinary black tea.

Green tea has many health benefits as it's full of anti-oxidants and is low in caffeine, it's a very refreshing drink and was told that it's perfectly safe for diabetics to drink. Enjoy!

Apart from possible health benefits, I think it is a matter of personal tatse. If you like it, it wont do any harm and counts as fluid, we all need plenty of fluids. If it is something you enjoy it is doing you good any way.

I think that's where I stand on this too.

My personal favorite is lemon green tea. I have it without any milk or sugar/sweetener.

Its good to have some variety - no alcohol or fizzy drinks or fruit juice - so I've found green tea makes a change from tea, coffee, or water....

I'm quite a fan of some of the herbal teas as a bit of a change. I miss not being able to just glug a glass of fresh milk or fruit juice without having to think about it well in advance (so I can inject and get the insulin working to prevent a spike). Robinsons no-added sugar drinks seem to be OK for me too.

I like all kinds of tea and drink green teas quite often as a change from water. I drink loads of ordinary tea as well rather than coffee.

I try and drink a mug of green tea every day when i am at work but i prefer it with a slice of fresh lemon in it, it's more bearable that way 🙂
