Yay a great start to 2018 NOT. Visit to rheumatology where osteoarthritis was diagnosed in my back, been prescribed amytriptilene as well as existing painkillers, referral to physio, hip and back x-ray and referral for back MRI (but consultant needs to get funding for that because I get claustrophobic in a closed MRI).
Then when I got home thought that I didn't feel well. BG had shot up to 16 and ketones were also high. I just want to sleep but got to stay up for social services to come round to see if/how they can help me.

I feel for you Amanda...I’ve got osteoarthritis everywhere there’s a bone or joint I think and I can’t take anti-inflammatories. I can’t cope with MRI’s either but can manage CT scans (if I’m prepared to accept the massive radiation hit!). Hope Social Services can help and that the amytriptyline helps relax your muscles.
Feel better soon...I’ve just had some fruitful retail therapy that’s brightened me up! 🙂

Sorry to hear this Amanda, hope your levels come down soon. X

I'm sorry to hear you're having such a bad time. I hope you feel better soon and your bgs and ketones come down x

Thank you everyone. My levels are down to normal thank goodness.
Amigo I really feel for you, thank goodness for retail therapy.
Well I've looked at the amytriptilene (however you spell it!) patient information leaflet and it don't look like something I want to rush to try for a number of reasons BUT I'm not going to make any decisions for the moment. In the meantime I will max out the cocodamol and neurofen and make an appointment to discuss the amytriptilene with my GP. Is my body really only 49???
Thank goodness for wine (which I can't have on the ami whatever it's called) |D :D
