got a letter a few days ago i knew it was from the hospital and when i opened my heart jumped as i knew it was the date for the operation having a biopsy done but this time they are removing part of my tongue as i had 2 growths luckily the first came back benign. think when they did the first one they must of just left something behind which then resulted in a second tongue growth.

the downsides i have just bloody done an order to fill my fridge freezer up all very well but all i will be able to eat is soup or ice creams for a month. the second they are only doing this the week before Easter so that is my Easter Sunday gone out of the window.

Ladies and Gentlemen on the Sunday menu for Mike is big soup 🙂 at least i can still smile about it or when it is done grimace 😳

after that is done Anitram hopefully we are there then just pending on all results. sods law though it would be just before the Easter hols wonder if i could melt some easter eggs was out this morning and was eyeing some up 😛 think that would blow my diabetes naughty does it

Noooo - get choc, put it in fridge. Wait ....

Grate hard chocolate. Add to ice cream. stir well. Introduce mixture to operation area, allow to melt and slide down the throat. ENJOY!

Jenny me is getting some choc in the morning got a grater and got some ice cream on the way going need something over the next month till things heal, ty 🙂

Hope op goes well @mikeydt1, and the recovery is speedy and relatively comfortable.

I have a Bamix with all the different discs and attachments - it looks like 'just' a hand held mixer and then you feed it a nutmeg !!!
Anything in the freezer - if you need it pulverized, the Bamix is the one for the job.
It will make mayonnaise or meringue as well, though - just change the disc and it's a doddle.
I hope all goes well and that they get the whole thing out this time.
Keep your strength up - steak and mushrooms does you just as much good as a broth.

sorry for the delays in getting back to this thread been setting up a new computer all went well apart from windows decided to install a generic monitor driver so things were a bit pear shape and off course i mislaid the cd set up disc. luckily i checked my email for the make of the monitor and downloaded the correct driver and software and all has gone well so nearly there now.

Mike the healing is slow up to 4 weeks as they put stitches in and it is the stitches rubbing which makes it not so nice until they dissolve got to gargle with salt water as much as possible.

only got just over a week then my trip in to pain world begins with a big gulp. when i had the last biopsy i bought some pain relief gel not the standard bonjella it stings to start with then it gives a nice numbing effect which makes things a bit easier.
