I seen one of the pump nurses that I've not met before today...

To cut a long story short, after going through everything she said

Still the star pupil, she said she's not seen such good control before and she was very impressed..

But it was a good appointment, as she went through all the aspects, control, feet, discussed driving and testing before driving (which I do any way)

Discussed how useful I found the remote/BG meter, I did have to be honest even though I do like it for many reasons, it hasn't made the greatest of difference from that of mentally working it out... But I've never struggled with the arithmetic side of things..

That's sort-of true for me, in terms of the remote control facility itself - but it is the "insulin on board" feature that I don't think you can get to grips with, without a 'smart' meter, which is what the Combo handset is. Just with knobs on LOL.

I agree the IOB is the most handy feature does take the hard work out and the stab in the dark where insulin stacking is concerned...

Did that once while on the Spirit pump, not an pleasant experience but when you've used the multi or extended bolus, it was a case working out how much insulin is left from a normal bolus, then taking a stab in the dark to how much the multi/extended bolus had made..

But it is one of those features if it isn't set up right, then it doesn't work very well it becomes as useful as not having it
