Relationship to Diabetes

Towards the end of January I posted here for the first time with an Hba1c of 127. Feeling unable to manage my diabetes the Forum supported me to change. An episode of DKA and an emergency hospital admission in early February was more than a wake up call.

Today I've had some blood results back. Largely because of something else but I asked if they would do another Hba1c to see if my insulin and dietary changes were having an effect. I know its a 12 week average so whilst hoping to see a difference I tried not to allow myself to get too carried away hoping for a sizeable change.

My practice nurse, who is a darling, has just called. 70, all the way down to 70. She's impressed. I'm ecstatic.

Still a way to go but I'm really chuffed that my efforts are paying off.

Just thought I would share...

That's amazing - so well done you!

Excellent progress. Results like that really encourage you to push on, knowing that a bit of care and attention to your dietary habits pays dividends and makes you want to do even better.

Well done YOU !!! Nobody else can do it for you!

Great result, congratulations on all your hard effort paying dividends. 🙂

That's lovely to get much deserved praise from your practice nurse, what a good way to receive the result.

Well done @pinnig ! Great result and lovely to hear you have supportive staff in the practice. Makes such a difference.

Great news and well done 🙂
