I went to see my (diabetic specialist) GP to discuss my recent review results. She is really pleased with my progress - weight loss, drop in HbA1c from 6.4 to 5.7, "excellent" blood pressure and, taking everything into account (age, BP, A1c, weight etc) is happy with my cholesterol reading of 5.2. So, I don't have to go back for another 12 months and no statins! 🙂

But...with impaired glucose tolerance diagnosed last year, she warned me that an increase in weight, change in lifestyle etc could result in increased BG again but that, if I continue to lose weight to reach my goal BMI, my A1C and cholesterol may well come down some more. So, I am motivated to carry on with the support of you good people! Thankyou, one and all!!:D Katiex
