So, I decided to try porridge, I'm really having a hard time with breakfast.
Outcome, before 7.4 jumped to 9.7, don't think it's with the 2.3 jump or am I being daft Ty x

I had to stop having porridge it jumped up my BG bigtime even 30g

That's pretty good, 2.3 rise, so OK with the 2 to 3 rise allowed. (Some say less than 2, but 2 - 3 is more realistic.
I eat porridge, but only a small amount of oats, padded out with milled flax seeds and chopped pecans (other nuts are available!). The seeds and nuts are low carb and high fibre. I also add a dessert spoon of double cream and a few berries.

I would not want to be going into the 10's a 2/3 rise is ok if your lowish before IMO.

Did you enjoy it? Was it satisfying through the morning?

I would say a 2.3 rise is pretty good, and if you’d have started a little lower (waking readings are often the most stubborn and last to come down) then your 2hr reading could easily have been 8.5ish.

Don’t forget even people without diabetes see glucose variation after food. You aren’t looking for no wobbles, just for reasonable sized wobbles that don’t last all day 🙂
