Just went out for my walk. I was quite suprised how much the virus took out of me; I could barely make one revolution of the park, I had to turn back, felt so weak, plus I got a low mood feeling. I tend to fight those off big time. My therapist advised me that the best thing to do is to rest. Years go I would accept the low moods and just get on with it. However, since 2005 when I had a very bad episode of depression ( was put on suicide watch) it has made me more aware. Although I have progressed a lot since I started therapy, more healing at a deeper level is required methinks....until the next rant

It is that time of year for people feeling low. I hope it lifts soon. You had a shroter walk tha planned, but will get longer when you are better, and you made a good start.

Hi Ollie - sorry to hear that. One thing that life has taught me over the years is that nothing lasts forever, and that definitely includes the bad times too. Times like these I focus on the Gokkai Principles even more. In English:

Just for today
Do not get angry
Do not worry
Be grateful
Do your duties fully
Be kind to others

And to take one day at a time.

take care,

Rustee

Hi Caroline - thanks for the encouragement, I needed that
