Or I would literally be in tears right now! AAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH - spent all day doing an architectural drawing and then realised that I pressed 'save' not 'save as' and have completely overwritten another drawing which took 2 days to do and my back up has autosaved to today's version :( I'm feeling relatively calm given it's after 5pm on a Friday and I am going to have to spend all weekend doing the first drawing... Thank goodness my sugars aren't too bad today and I can think with my 'rational' and calm brain, just hope my diabetes plays ball for a while! xx

Ouch! 😱 Does your work place have IT support? (just wondering if there's any chance of a back-up saved on the system?) Glad to hear the D's cooperating at least!

unfortunately I work for myself at home and I'm the one who didn't back up recently enough 😉 no-one to blame but myself! And now my sugars are high again so not a good end to the week... I was hoping for a miracle and that my sugars would continue to behave, but obviously too much to ask for :( xx

Awww damn!

Maybe the high sugar is a one off, I'm willing my levels to you 🙂

I usually find when I do things like that that ....

1) It doesn't take as long as the original to recreate.
2) It ends up better than the original.

Always pays to look on the bright side!!

But I do hope the sugar levels get sorted pronto for you.

Andy 🙂

thanks, unfortunately my sugars are going up not down (15.4!!!!) despite me doing extra at dinner time :( I'm completely ready for the world to swallow me and this horrible diabetes up right now!! I can't face even looking at my drawing right now let alone starting again - luckily I have found a PDF I e-mailed of it so at least I have something to copy 😉

I'm off to bed like a bear with a sore head, so sleep well and hope you have a good night's sleep... thanks for the positive thoughts!!

Xx

Awww huni, if you want to bend someone's ear you have my number, I don't mind.

Mine has gone up for no reason (I'm now 17.1) apart from being 30 mins late with my glargine.

thanks Laura 🙂 I can cope with the odd day being high but I can't cope with more than 6 months of it... I just feel like deliberately doing more as I'd rather have a hypo right now than another night going to bed with high sugars!!! xx

Hey Vix, I know what you mean, I'm a land surveyor and generally do measured building surveys for peeps like you, I probably loose half adays work every 6 months, but now have sorted out a daily back up, but as others have said and as I am sure you know it os always quicker although a pain in the behind! Hope you have some tim eto yourself at the weekend, and get those levels in order.

Cheers

Rossi.

Thanks Rossi, and yes at least I have a PDF to copy 😉 I'm an interior designer so I draw up the survey and then do the layouts for shops mainly, so at least I don't have to guess where I drew the walls/furniture etc and have a reference point... I'm at a craft fair all day today so probably a good thing I have a day away from my computer!

How do you cope with your sugars on site? I've had a few incidents where I've been led to the nurse on site because of a hypo, which is very embarrassing surrounded by builders and not being able to walk properly in my steel toe caps and hard hat 😉 I seem to find I don't notice my symptoms as much when in the middle of a site meeting!

A good start to today, 5.3 🙂 so let's hope it continues this way...

Have a good day

xx

My site days can vary quite a lot not always a building site could be a field in the middle of knowhere, posh house in mayfair, skanky flats somewhere else shopes or anything! I basically test more, and have supplies on me, I generally test after I've got going and make sure not low, as although my hypo awareness is normally good it can be less good on site I guess just too busy to stop and think about it, so I try and run my levels higher, and I would only take half of my usual dose at lunch, and after fridays day on site I wouldn't correct a highish number until I was safely home!
