Hi all,
This is a link to the Abbott Navigator cgm
http://medgadget.com/archives/2007/...ose_monitoring_system_approved_in_europe.html
Apparently these are brilliant bits of kit! But they do cost 900 pounds approx. I was thinking of looking into buying one - but i am wondering whether the hospital would pay for the consumables? Apparently to pay for sensors for 1 month its about 200 pounds.
I like the idea of them beeping if your going low especially through the night. Someone on the other forum has been using one from a private clinic in london - and she loves it - she uses it on her little 6 year old and it has detected lots of hypos that she didnt even know about!
Has anyone on here tried one?If so how do you find them?
I spotted them in America for 950 dollars- but then realised they use a different system of blood levels than us! doh!😱Bev
