I'm going to monitor my levels a bit more today than I normally do.
I was at 9.1 when I got up this morning at 6am.
So far Ive had 3 cups of coffee, half litre of orange squash and over a litre and half of water. And I just constantly need to pee (good job the loo's aren't a very long walk from my desk!).
I was at 9.3 before I had my usual porridge breakfast and Im back at 9.1 two hours after eating it.
I feel perfectly fine in myself, but I just feel really thirsty today. :(
Hope I'm not coming down with anything. I didn't even have these symptoms before I was diagnosed!

I try to do an all day monitering once every two weeks or so. Just as a kind of spot check. But I've maybe not been at this so long to be as certain as other people might be.

Is it a side effect of the Empagliflozin.

I usually run high if I have a bug. Hopefully you are not coming down with something.

I will have to do this again soon as my waking BG's have been a little elevated to what i'm used to.

Well it's not doing a lot for your BG by the sound of it Stitch - you wouldn't normally sit at 9.0 for that length of time would you?

How often do you monitor and what are your readings like now compared to how they were Mark?

These days I usually only monitor upon waking. I used to be somewhere in the 5's quite regularly. Last time I did a day of testing every hour, my average for the day would be about 5.8. My waking BG now tends to be in the low to mid 6's, so not massively high but higher than I would like. At least I've got until October til my next HbA1c for it to improve if it does.

Thanks. What were they when you were first diagnosed if you dont mind me asking?
