I've recently been diagnosed with depression and rust in leg's. Yes, that's RUST in leg's.

It's called Schamberg's disease. Schamberg's disease is caused by leaky blood vessels near the surface of the skin, capillaries, which allow red blood cells to slip through into the skin. The red blood cells in the skin then fall apart and release their iron which causes a rust color, this accounts for the orange tint of the rash. There's no cure and nothing to worry about.

I've also got dry skin on my hands. I'm waiting on the Old Man dribbling bit, then I'll have Rust, Dry Rot and Rising Damp !

Sorry to hear that OH. Another thing I've heard about today that's completely new to me!

Will you be painting your legs with Hammerite? 😉

I'm sorry to hear this :( It's a new one on me too - is it linked in any way to diabetes, or just one of those things?

Don't know if it's linked to diabetes, Chopodist didn't say, but it's more common in males and may occur at any age from childhood onward.

I've got it in the gap open to the air between my sleepers and the bottom of my trousers. My feet are half rusty and half white, there's a definite line between the two.

I had dry skin on my hands too for a bit and eventually tracked the cause down to a new type of washing up liquid I was using. Stopped using that and lo and behold my hands have returned to their usual soft IT worker's selves!

Andy 🙂

I do like your seeming the bright side of it, and i dont mean that as a pun 🙂

Getting old is a b*gger, age brings all it's pals along and they end up mugging you repeatedly. It always gets worse too, never better!
*%$%^&^* Lots of swear words, in-appropriate for a mixed audience. :( 😡
