Got an appointment for my first HbA1c on Monday 😱 Stupid I know, but I am worried to death about it as I know things have slipped a little recently. They are also running the full quota of other tests including liver function and cholesterol. I have a follow up appointment a couple of weeks later with the diabetic doctor at my GP practice. I also have a podiatry check. Do the rest of you worry like me or am I being silly?! 😛 Katie

I think we always worry whenever we are being 'tested', and fear that we will get 'told off'! I always worry about my HbA1c even though I have been in the 5% club practically since I was diagnosed - even when I let things slip a bit - so don't worry about minor indiscretions, they will have very little impact on your results. 🙂

Try not to worry, you can't change anything now so just look forward to getting the results and seeing where you stand with things. I'm sure you'll be fine Katie 🙂

Awww Katie don't worry...to be honest worrying isn't going to change anything and it may not be as bad as you think and even if it isn't the result you wanted it's not the end of the world..🙂

When I was first diagnosed I was petrified; always crying; not sure what to do with myself but 12 months on and I'm emotionally stronger than I've ever been. I know how strong you are so know you can deal with what life throws at you with a smile on your face...

We're all here to support you; throwing you a big hug (((()))) xx

good luck, agree with what the others say, remember it is only one way of seeing how things are going with your diabetes, and the important thing is once you know where you are with it you can then aim to improve or maintain.....

try not to worry about it we all get worried when the time comes round for tests but they are nothing to be scared of. you will be fine. good luck

Good luck Katie and try not to worry x

Thank you everyone. Nice to know people understand🙂 Katie
