Hi

I am trying to source a funky (or at least not black!) pouch for my daughter for her finger pricker and BG monitor. I have looked on the website of the monitor we have (Carelink) but cant seem to find any supplies on offer.

Does anyone know where I can get such a thing?

Thanks in advance
Lynn

Hiya- I bought some really cute pouches for diabetice equipment stuff from etsy.com

Use all sorts cute material and generally if you mail the sellers stating you want something particular they will make you it up.... for example if you see something else in a nice material t hat they have:D

Hi Lynn, a lot of people use a pencil case or make-up case instead of the 'official' cases - you can usually get something that fits the bill and is funky too! 🙂

I use a cosmetics purse from accessorise, because well I'm a gal (an old gal these days 🙂) and those hideous black things depress me! Depending on her taste and your budget Cath Kidston do lots of different size puches that fit the bill, some floppy some rigid and they all wipe clean. Kipling do something called the creativity purse which comes in a stunning range of colours and is machine washable (Amazon are usually the cheapest) and paperchase are good for a more pretty goth type pattern if that's her thing. I would never have considered it would be so important to me to not have medical looking pouches but apparently it really is...who knew? Hope you find something that makes her smile 🙂

Hi Lynna - funky pumpers do meter cases and organisers http://www.funkypumpers.com/product-category/meter-cases
or I would try (as KC suggested) Accessorize or Cath Kidston - we have a Cath Kidston lunch-bag which works well for all the pump paraphernalia and supplies she has to take to school, it came with two little boxes inside, we have one for hypo treats and one for GF biscuits :D

They seem to be much more clued in to our aesthetic needs in the States - I often come across meters with funky covers etc on US websites. We want pretty things! 😛

Good selection of pencil cases in WHSmiths. Some with 2 compartments too.
