Is this with the lancet device? I don't use Glucoject, but on my multiclix one, there is an alternative cap for if you are someone who can't use finger tips for some reason, and have to jab elsewhere on the body.
This pure guesswork but some devices allow you to do blood tests in locations other than your fingertips. This is sometimes done on the inside of top of your forearm just below the joint. The cap is normally used to space off the device to the correct position
