So my GP started me on 80mg of this yesterday, telling me it starts to work straight away. So why hasn't it made a difference yet? Maybe a higher dose is needed or is this drug not going to work for me?

At the risk of being boring, I think you've got to give it a little longer. Having said that, when I was put on it on diagnosis I kept saying to the hospital staff "when's it going to start working ?" and they had to up the dose quite a bit before it did anything. Then I started getting hypos ! 😱

They had me on it for a while and it took a fews days to kick in, then I started getting hypos. I hope you have been given a meter and test strips as well?

Not been given an meter, but have one anyway...will ask her about strips for it when I phone the Gp later in the week.
Will give it longer...I guess I am impatient! I was hoping it would show quicker results!
