Just a minor rant. Spoke to a locum today about my torn knee muscle... and then she said 'I can see from your records you are Type 2 but what I don't understand is with these Hba1c results why you are still taking Metformin or why it hasn't been reduced. I very politely advised her to have a chat with the Diabetes Dr. in the surgery. Although that wasn't my first thought. Ahhhhh.

Perhaps it does mean there are at last some GPs who are on message about dietary regime being as relevant as meds. Perhaps a bit more up to date than your diabetic Dr.

Who knows. I decided a while ago life is difficult enough, so pick my battles and let this one go. I am sure at some point when I have a review the GP will suggest reducing it.
