Hi All,
I am at the stage where I really need to start getting an understanding of GI/GL rather than just carb counting. I'm pretty skinny (don't know if that has some effect) and when I dose for a high carb meal (>80g), I will usually hypo if I don't delay dosing by at least 30mins.
I don't want to get into learning the individual GI of every food, but would like to understand roughly where each food lies on the GI scale. For me I think this would be best done by having a large wall chart (hopefully laid out like a GI spectrum), which I can add to with any foods I don't see on the chart.
In this way I hope to build more understanding to be able to estimate GI/GL when I am on the go, by referring to the 'mental chart' which I'll be holding, with the physical as the learning support.
Is anyone able to recommend a book/downloadable wall chart? I had a look but couldn't find anything appropriate. If not I'll make one and be sure to share it here....
Thanks all!
