Ask in writing to see your medical records. Then is what should happen is an apt will be made for you to view them and then you can ask for copies of the bits you want or the whole lot. There is a charge for this though so be warned.
glad you asked that question Northerner..... I've been thinking of asking to see my notes too as I'm very unhappy about the investigations before and after my operation that are still ongoing
If you mean GP notes, then ask practice manager, in writing, stating dates required. And, as others have said, be prepared to pay for access and photocopying costs.
Any problems, ask PALS for PCT or hospital.
