I had a hype around 5am and my reading was under 3, I had a few biscuits and 2 spoonfuls of Nutella spread, i checked my reading again after 10 mins only went up slightly, so I had a few more biscuit and a few mouthfuls of Nutella spread
Eating biscuits and Nuttella as a first line hypo treatment is not recommended and you need to be more structured about how you treat them. Biscuits contain fat which slows the release of the sugar they contain as you seem to know because later you mention having sugar in water. Many of us find Jelly Babies work really well or there are glucose tablets or Glucogel pouches which can be prescribed.
The "rule of 15" is a good one to remember when treating hypos. When your levels are under 4, you have15g of fast acting carbs like glucose (jelly Babies are 5g of carbs each so 3 JB is 15g or 4 glucose tablets, wait 15 mins (not 10.... you have to give those fast acting carbs time to work) and then retest. If you are still not above 4 after 15 mins then have another 15g of fast acting carbs, wait 15 mins and check again.
You did not treat your hypo with fast acting carbs and only waited 10 mins and then over treated which you seem to know. It takes too long to go and dissolve some sugar in water, especially if you are in bed when it happens, so you need to have hypo treatments ready to use and within reach at all times. I always carry both jelly babies and glucose tablets. They are by the bed at night and in my pockets and handbag when I go out and there are even some in a pot in the bathroom incase I hypo during/after a hot shower.

As regards fibre, I am clearly not getting through to you that your digestive system needs fibre to be healthy and it doesn't cause sugar spikes even with gastroparesis, but I think those here on the thread who have experience of gastroparesis have already indicated that your symptoms do not suggest you have it.

I am afraid I don't think I am able to help you further, but I wish you luck with your appointment. You really should ask about getting Freestyle Libre if you don't currently have it prescribed and a DAFNE course and perhaps an appointment with a specialist diabetes dietician.

Perhaps if you are having some dialogue with your GP you could ask for the diagnostic tests mentioned on the GUTS.uk site to confirm your self diagnosis as that might then support getting a pump or other technology.
Yeah I sure definitely will do. Waiting for that referral to go through and I will be asking them to undergo those tests. My readings have been better today from lunch till now. It came down to 7.7 then one hour after it was 6.4, then before dinner it was 5.6 I think and I’m gonna check it in an hour. I think my mistake was last night that I ate something extra when having that hypo which made that significant spike. My dr rang me today and she said that she wants to take some bloods from me incase for hormonal change, dnt know why and a urine sample. I’m hoping that at my review they will be able to offer me the omnipod, but I’m sure you have to take the dafne course for that. It’s supposed to be a life changer that, but then again everyone is different, I read some really good feedback from ppl on social media saying that it’s changed their life and health and that it’s helped them to mange their diabetes much better‍♀️ I really do hope so.

Don’t worry, you’re being very helpful, yeah you could be right and I could be wrong or I could be right and you can be wrong, but I’m just outlining this reason of it being gastro as I have at least a couple of symptoms so there could be a slight possibility I may have it but then again I could be wrong. Before I presumed I had it, I had broccoli alongside chicken, mushrooms and half a potato and my sugars spiked, even then I had the symptoms of delayed gastric emptying. I am awaiting for my appointment at the hospital for the review but the doctor said it could take abit of time
