Morning everyone,

can't find my old thread my GAD results arrived and are negative have to carry on with metformin and sitagliptin for few weeks now waiting for a liver and pancreas scan has anyone had this scan?

Lanzlady

glad the GAD tests are all clear hope the scans go well.

Hi Lanzlady.

I have had a liver and kidney scan theres nothing to it. they put some jelly type stuff on your belly, and just run a little hand machine over it. It just like they do for a scan on a pregnant mum. 😱

John.

Hi John,

that's good to hear🙂 what was the outcome of your scan if you don't mind me asking for what reason was it requested?

Lanzlady

Oh dear, so no definitive diagnosis? Hope the scan is illuminating.

Thanks Pattie I hope so to. Gp called me last night with my Hba1c results
down from 126 (13.7) to 114 (12.6) which I know is still very high
I asked for C peptide test but GP said it is not an accurate test as your insulin can show different throughout the day:confused: Will just have to wait for scan and results although my appointment could be months away.

Take care

Yes of course it can, but there are levels below which no normal (or even T2) person will drop.
