Hello all! I have recently moved to the UK so am new to the site. I was diagnosed with Diabetes last year (aged 29) with no risk factors whatsoever. I am extremely active (daily exerciser for 8+ years), have always been a healthy weight, and have followed a plant based diet for the last 8 years also. My specialist thought I was query type 1 when diagnosed but did anybody testing for that which came back negative. I was then tested for MODY which also came back negative. I was then diagnosed as Type 2. I am on Metformin 850 twice a day but my bloods have been creeping back up recently (fasting blood sugars in the morning of 9+), despite my diet and lifestyle being extremely healthy. I don't seem to be able to find anything in the research about anyone like me, and am wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience, or has any advice for any additional lifestyle changes possible, or can point me in the direction of any research relevant to me. I am at the end of my tether at the moment.
