I am very fond of fruit yogurts but have discovered that they can contain as much as 25 gm sugar in 100 gm jar. For the lack of something to do I spent some time in a local supermarket going through all their yogurts and discovered that Weight Watchers' Apricot and Nectarine yogurts had only 5.6 gm/100 gm so i was happy to settle with them

Hi akphoto, welcome to the forum 🙂 You are absolutely right - many so-called 'healthy' yoghurts have simply replaced the fat that used to be in them with sugar, which may in fact be worse than the fat. The public has been bombarded with the idea that fat is bad, so the marketing departments all stress 'low fat'. Anything around or below 10g is fine for me 🙂

I make my own at home akphoto, that way I know exactly what's in them and I can still have something I really enjoy.

If I do buy some, I'm afraid I usually go for the full fat versions preferring the fat to the sugar.

I buy the Total Greek yoghurt, 3.8 carbs per 100gm and add fresh berries.

I don't eat anything that is low fat.

I do the same cherry pie - its a great mid morning snack. I used to buy fresh berries but because I was eating it everyday the cost got a bit expensive so I get a pack of frozen berries. They work a treat and taste just as nice.

Make you own, it's not only tastier it's a lot cheaper. A cheap yogurt machine (lakeland ?20) makes 1litre at a time, if you use the longlife milk cartons it's very easy.

If you do want to go low fat, look for the ones labelled Diet or 0% fat - they are usually artificially sweetened so the only sugar comes from the fruit.
