I have stuck to what my DSN told me right at the beginning - up to two 80gm portions of fruit per day, preferably berries. I do enjoy a small slice of melon from time to time. After testing, I found apples and bananas were lethal for me, and all citric fruit plays havoc with my hiatus hernia.

Fruit is a tricky one for me (t2) I can have 10 or so grapes or a good size slice of honeydew melon without much rise but a small apple/pear/orange or banana will send my test to the moon berries are ok but only if I have 6 or so (12ish if blueberrys) any more and I spike its all rather hit and miss with peoples tolerances, the best advice is to try them and test.

I've had the same breakfast the last 2 days as I have started experimenting with foods and bg levels

Breakfast - (Greek yoghurt, 5 almonds, 5 walnuts, sprinkle of chia seeds) - yesterday with some strawberries and today with raspberries - the strawberries raised my bg by 5.5 after 2 hrs and with the raspberries my level dropped 2 hrs later. I am now officially avoiding strawberries o_O

That's the way to do it. The reaction to carbs in food is different for each individual and this includes fruit.
The only way to know for sure is to test.
For example it's unusual for Strawberries to cause a problem, though Blackberries are usually better than strawberries and it depends quite a lot on the ripeness since some strawberries are much sweeter than others - fortunately I'm OK with all but the very sweetest ones.
.

Raspberries are one if not the only one, of my favourite fruits.
