Hi everyone,

I've had frozen shoulder for about six months now and was supposed to be starting steroid injections next week but because of my high blood sugars I now have to wait until next year for surgery.Just a warning to anyone else who has same problem. You can't have steroid injections if ou have high blood sugars

Thanks for that information. I also have a frozen shoulder and my doctor just gave me exercises to do and some pain killers rgds John

Hope your shoulder discomfort eases @greg75

Is it still getting stiffer / more painful, or has it evened out.

Might be that things will ease themselves over the next 12 months or so?

Hi. Bear in mind that steroid injections may not help with 'true' frozen shoulder i.e. adhesive encapsulitis but may help with other shoulder pains. My wife's consultant prescribed amitriptyline as a pain killer which worked well. Don't use ibuprofen long-term as it may kill your kidneys. My wife now has a new one!

Physio have now discharged me,but no things have been getting steadily worse for last 7 months and I am now sitting up to sleep. The slightest nudge on my shoulder and my arm gets paralyzed for up to ten minutes
