Hi Redshaw, a Frozen shoulder is not nice yours seems to be particularly nasty.
I bought a toweling backstrap from Amazon it's got loops each end to hold, it helps me wash my back , it also gives both my arms a daily extra workout , yes they're both frozen his time 😱. I seem to be very greedy where frozen shoulders are concerned as have had it three or for times.
I'm afraid the exersizes can hurt , I feel it's a case of no pain no gain as far as the exersizes go. tbh I find thestage just before thawing starts the least painful of the whole process
I hope you've managed to find a more comfy position so you can get a better nights sleep

Thank you for all the information and sympathy, I think I will go for the steroid injection first if it is offered because I have had it before and it worked with the help of exercise afterwards. What a miserable way to start the new year.

Hi Jusme

If you have the injection don't forget that it will impact on your BG levels and you will need to adjust your insulin for both basal and bolus to take account of this. After my last injection I had to run at 150% on both for quite a while! BUT well worth it as it sorted out the problem.

Ouch. Trying to zip yourself into a dress when you have a frozen shoulder is a nightmare. I once had to go and knock on a neighbour's door to ask for help. You have my sympathy and I hope you find relief very soon.
