Can anyone tell me the cheapest form to buy cauliflower is it frozen or fresh,I can get 900g frozen for £1 at Tesco, after taking the leaves off a fresh one is there a lot to use?I'm going to mash it and store in freezer,I'm going to make a cottage pie that a forum user mentioned with cheese on top.

I had Tescos Pork and Bramley apple sausages last night and they were the best sausages I've ever had, with pre mashed frozen cauli, brussel sprouts, and broccoli

Fresh cauliflower is on offer in Tesco’s at the min I think they are 59p

what’s the frozen mash like? I’m thinking about making come cauli rice and freezing it but not sure if I need to cook/blanch it first?
Cauli mash is one of my favourites now. I add some garlic and soft cheese to mine

Hi thanks it's ok,but I'm sure it doesn't have the exact taste of a fresh cauli,no idea why, your idea sounds nice with the garlic and cheese,is that just any soft cheese,do you just use a potato masher? As that's all I have

I just just the 55p stuff from Tesco’s and a potato’s masher
