It could be a hypo rebound, they can happen a lot, also it might be best to just include things in your old thread or state what the issue is in your new thread as I can't be the only one having issues keeping up with things and I also fear other threads may be missed xx

Yes, I had to rummage back through your other threads to find how you’d treated the hypo.
You did what was technically correct, 15g of carb, wait 15 minutes, retreat if your BG hasn’t come up. But just sometimes the body kicks in with a release of glucose from the liver as well, so you end up higher than you’d like. Be careful if you add on a correction for breakfast, if your liver did help out, it will want to claw back some of its stock of glucose, so err on the cautious side if you do a correction dose.

Could be hypo rebound, could be that you accidentally overtreated the hypo, could just be one of those things. Unless it starts happening every time you treat a hypo, don’t worry about it. Don’t correct it straight away either or you may end up too low again, let things settle and see what happens and correct it at lunch time if necessary.

We occasionally get nasty hypos that take an hour to come up again, end up shovelling loads of sugar in which seems to have no effect, then suddenly 2 hours later she will shoot up to 17, as if all the sugar has suddenly decided to find its way into the blood stream all at once. They are REALLY annoying!

As you say it could be a hypo rebound.
I've included the high in my old / original thread and I've put what the issue is in this new thread along with a link for the old thread xx

Which threads did you have to rummage back through? What do you think I need to do re my threads? Thanks on saying that I treated the hypo in the right way but.....arghhhh...I've read this reply too late and already done an advised correction of 3 units along with my breakfast time dose

The one you've linked in this thread has a lot to go through so can be time consuming for people and slightly confusing, if you have a new issue you would be better stating all the information in the new thread created about it rather than linking older threads

Re the high like you say there's one or two things it could possibly be. I'll keep an eye on what's happening after I've treated the hypos. As I said @Robin I've read the reply too late and already done a correction together with my breakfast dose - we'll see what lunchtime brings

Thanks @Kaylz also do you think it's ok to keep my old thread going with updates? I just wanted a bit of feedback on what people think about my days BGL's xx

I went to the linked one, but that didn’t tell me how you’d treated the hypo, which is relevant to any comments people are going to make on his one. I remembered you’d said what you did on the Morning Waking thread, so I checked back there, for the amounts and timings of your jelly babies.
It would have been useful to have included a recap of that other info at the start of this thread, to save us all time, and for people who don’t read the morning thread and didn’t know how you’d treated the hypo.
Its fine to ask these things, but it’s difficult for anyone to respond quickly enough to how you need to act within a few minutes. It’s more useful if we treat it as a 'This is what I did, and it didn’t work out, what could I have done differently so I’ll know next time? '

Maybe I'll stop doing the old linked thread - I just wanted a bit of feedback on my daily levels - what do you think I should do? If I need to know things maybe just do new threads each time with the sort of questions you mentioned at the bottom of your reply ie 'this is what I did.......

If you have a specific problem, just put the question in the thread title and include all the relevant info in your opening post even if you’ve mentioned some of it elsewhere 🙂
