I am a newbie and I am grateful for being able to access information from Diabetes UK. A year ago I had a blood test that gave me a 55 result. Type 2 diabetes. I have been prediabetic for a while but this jump was a shock. With guidance from my GP and online information from Diabetes UK I focused on turning this around. 11 months later I have dropped from 55 to 44! Quite stunned to be honest. Back to prediabetes but much closer to the normal range. The work goes on. But I have to tell you - I was worried to begin with and thought it was something too hard to do. But I got there and will keep fighting!

Welcome to the forum @AndrewInYork and congratulations on the brilliant progress you have made already.

Look forward to hearing more of your story over the coming weeks and months 🙂

Congratulations on a great result. Hope you have found a way to make the changes sustainable in the longer term, so that you can maintain that result. Well done! We all know it isn't easy, but well worth while.

Always good to see a success story posted - thanks for sharing. Whatever you're doing has clearly paid off and you are so close to normal range, so more of the same I think.
