Went to tesco at 8 this morning, air con was blasting out, my feet and hands were freezing to the point of being uncomfortable....
Since dx 4 weeks ago have had the odd hour where feet have been cold and once or twice feet been hot...
Must be due to the diabetes but strange I never had anything like this before dx

I experienced this a lot in the months after diagnosis - I even developed chilblains on my toes for the first time in over 45 years! I think it is quite common and I think it may be related to the adjustments you are making to your new diabetic life. As your levels stabilise at lower levels than they have been used to the nerves are temporarily affected until they start getting used to then new (hopefully) lower levels. I still get it to some extent, but not as bad as it was. The main thing to do is make sure your feet (and possibly hands if they are also affected) checked to make sure your blood flow and sensation are good.

Hopefully, it will fade over time for you Lilies 🙂

I had a weird itch right inside my foot last night about 2 am... I presume this is the same foot problem thing... I had itchy fingers just before Dx and not since ( thanks goodness) does anyone else get this? It's right inside my toe.

I had the same thing Lillies. I had to wear fingerless gloves and got a pair of furry bootees to keep my digits warm. Doesn't happen so much now though.

bed socks with the grips great for daytime wear i cant get enough of them
ive now got to the age i dont care if i look like a wooly hippo as long as im warm i now keeo a sleeping bag in the living room for the colder nights🙂

I suffer with the cold now.... and it drives my husband bananas.

I sleep with socks and a dressing gown, on top of a fleecy blankey with the quilt over me lol
