Just picked up my prescription and the optimum test strips are not in the usual butterfly box. The box is covered in added labels almost obliterating the trade name XIDO. Obviously imported. Anyone else had any experience of these? I plan to double test until confident with them.

Thinking these are the older strips, was there a code strip in the box? As the newer strips require no coding as long as the meter has been coded with a code strip code of 65001.

If there is a code strip other than the 65001 you will need to recode the meter to accept the code free strips. Abbott Medisense sent me a code bar after one of my meters was not coded to accept code free strips.

There's a you tube clip showing these strips are used in the xceed though its dated to 2010, and the shows the meter is none UK version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdoDkN1rzCQ
