No - you can get free software from Abbott for them that allows you to download all your data and it does graphs and everything 🙂 What happens is that if you don't do a scan for more than 8 hours then you lose some data because it gets overwritten (I think!).I don't think it is licenced to be used anywhere else. I used one last year, they are very good and do save on the finger prick testing, only negative was, you only get to see last 8 hrs data, only a dr could have access to any longer history.
Thanks for that, I never knew you could access the full history, has it always been like that? I thought only a dr had the access to that? Don't know where I got that from then. I've just started with my 4th and they are fab! 🙂 So far I've just worn them on the backs of my upper arms and you really don't notice. They stick very well, although a lot of people seem to be susceptible to knocking them off on door posts 😱 As mentioned, only licensed for arm, although some people have tried them in other places - problem would be it's a bit of an expensive risk if you find it doesn't work very well![]()
I found it very easy to wear, hardly noticed it. Just needed to go online to watch the vid how to apply it, made sure I understood completely, cos if it doesn't go on right thats £54 wasted.I'm thinking of purchasing one of these but am doubtful as I don't really fancy a disc stuck onto the back of my arm.
Does anyone know if it can go anywhere else on the body?
Slightly cheaper, as you don't need to pay the VAT, so around £48, make sure you tick the box! 🙂I found it very easy to wear, hardly noticed it. Just needed to go online to watch the vid how to apply it, made sure I understood completely, cos if it doesn't go on right thats £54 wasted.![]()
One word of warning, once you've started using them it can be hard to stop! 😱 🙂 Good luck, and do let us know how you get on 🙂 There is a code you can use for free postage, this is the code for July: BCCFRDL7Thanks for all of your replies and the links to the threads, I'm gonna do it 🙂🙂
Jenny, you'd think with a Type 1 diabetic prime minister, we'd have brilliant diabetic health care? LOL None of this, we don't like patients ringing nor we don't do face to face. Not sure whether this will put you off completely or what?
Theresa May has been spotted several times with one stuck on her arm.
LOL
I've said the sa e thing for longer than I care to remember. I can't see it ever happening though. If the whole of the cabinet used the NHS we would have a very different NHS. I assume none of them do.
Surprised she doesn't have a gold-plated full blown CGMS on her wages! 😱 Or perhaps she overspends on leather trousers? 😉Not sure whether this will put you off completely or what?
