hi. I've been using the Libre for about 18 months, and think it's fantastic. However in the past few months the libres sent to me have a much tighter expiry, so that if you order a few it can be impossible to use them before the expiry date. They come from France, and they seem to assume you will start to use them immediately they arrive, but of course you tend to order new ones before using up all you have in stock so you don't run out. I've complained 3 times about this, and am having to return one of my last delivery. The Abbott UK telephone number takes you to different countries, and it isn't possible to speak to anyone with authority. I'm waiting for a manager to call me. I wonder if anyone else is experiencing this?

Hi Irene, welcome to the forum 🙂 This has cropped up here before, unfortunately, and in fact I complained about it yesterday, having just taken delivery of 4 new sensors which all expire 31/10/2017 😡

I've also heard from a lot of people on a Facebook group that many are experiencing the same problem. It seems they have no proper stock control system in place - I suspect they've just found a big cupboard of sensors due to expire in the next couple of months and are trying to shift as many as they can 🙄

It's interesting to hear that I am not the only person to be experiencing a problem with sensors expiry dates. Perhaps there is a way we get together to complain about this, because Abbott do not seem to be taking notice of our concern? I have tried to find out who is in charge of the Libre delivery system, but the reps I have spoken to firmly refuse to reveal any information as to who is in charge.
