Freestyle Libre and iphone

I have only in the last few weeks started using the phone, but I still prefer the reader as it does not seem as fussy about distance as the phone app.

I too am having issues with the FreeStyle LibreLink version 2.5.1.2999 on my iPhone 7 running iOS 14.4.
Scanning a sensor intermittently fails or throws an error (try again in 10 mins).
Closing the app and reopening sometimes fixes it, other times I have to power off the phone for 10+ secs then restart.
The failures occur more frequently when out walking which suggests it is sometimes linked to rapid changes in levels, but sometimes it fails when sat at my desk!
This is definitely an issue with the new software/iOS and Abbot should be working to fix it. Is anyone aware if Abbot are taking this seriously and working on a fix?

When I first had challenges with my Libre 1 (after the App was updated) I discussed it with Abbots. As always they were very pleasant but I was told the problem was likely to be my phone as he was unaware of any other issues, however, I hope that has changed as I’m not alone. I think I just accept it now as having an NHS Libre is something I’m extremely grateful for although I agree @StuartG that Abbot should be aware.

I also contacted them several times, I did everything they suggested (updating phone and app again, switching on and off). They also said it must be an issue with my phone so eventually I bought a new phone.... still have the same problems with the app as well as a new phone that I don't need. Very disappointed with Abbot

I had issues with alarm for loss of signal on my 2nd libre 2 sensor working on phone. Abbott said the sensor was faulty and sent a replacement. Also had a number of scan errors. The new 3rd sensor different batch /lot number is behaving so far alarms and errors etc and is accurate.

Possibly behaving due to also getting a new iPhone this week ... I had an iPhone 8. Maybe getting too old to run everything? I know not all able to just upgrade phone .... should need to really apps / software or whatever it is should work really.

Very pleased to say that with iOS 14.4.1 and FreeStyle LibreLink version 2.5.3.3088 my iPhone 7 sensor scanning is working normally! I am very happy chappy!

I use my phone with my Libre, I had several minor issues (log and graph different, taking several minutes to work etc) The first night I started with Libre2 it was a pain but after a few hours it settled down and now it functions perfectly with the upgrade and it’s just the best thing out! My problem was mostly low scores which I didn’t know about before

My phone is an ANDROID one and I can't say I've had any major issues as described above.
Occasionally I will need to swipe over the sensor more than once but that's all.
If I remember correctly when the phone app first came out it was for the Android phone only so there may be some tweaking still required to make the i-phone completely compatible.

Best

I didn’t know that thank you. I have an Apple 7 plus inherited from my daughter
