Having problems with version 2 which I did not have with version 1 in as much that when I change the sensor it is losing immediate contact with the handheld reader, does not give a reading and invites me to try scanning again in ten minutes etc..,, (I don’t use my iPhone as a reader) This has happened on numerous occasions and when I tell Abbott they have no reasonable explanation, send me a replacement and ask for the old sensor to be returned for analysis. The version 1 sensor was far more reliable, hardly ever failed. In frustration I told Abbott not to send me a replacement 2 sensor but send me version 1 which they seemed happy to do. This makes me think that they know there is a problem.

I had same problems with mine sensors I think it was placement of the sensor.

The reader sometimes refuses to give a reading when it’s at the low end of power. Recharging it usually perks it up. If you are used to the original Libre Reader, the new ones’s battery life is much shorter, probably due the add on Bluetooth and the alarms.

I’ve been on the libre2 since summer 2018 and had only a couple of failures and both of my own making, knocking one off I remember, the test again in to mins would suggest you BG is moving up or down quickly, also for the first 24/48 hours they can be a bit temperamental for some folks

It might be better to use your phone rather than the Reader? I use Libre 2 with a Samsung S8 and never have any problems with communications.

My understanding is that the "scan again in 10 minutes" message has nothing to do with losing contact.
This is when the reader is unable to get a "steady" reading and commonly happens when your levels are rising or falling quickly.
Libre 2 has changed the algorithm they use in order to predict the next 15 minutes and overcome the problem that interstitial fluid readings are 15 minutes behind finger pricks. Unfortunately, in order to make this prediction, the algorithm needs a more obvious trend to follow.
It can also happen if the signal is "noisy" which may occur when there is something wrong with the filament which may be due to placement or a faulty sensor.
Note there are a few "may"s in the above because there are other things which may affect the sensor.

I have had it when levels changing quickly, too mainly following exercise.

Try using phone instead of reader, never had that issue or any others since switching to 2, far better than 1 version.
