Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
The first of the final three races (back-to-back) was held early today in Las Vegas. I nearly missed it as I assumed the like other races on the American continent it would be on late afternoon/early evening but. of course, it is a night race. It was only when I checked when qualifying was on yesterday afternoon to find it had already taken place that I remembered. I am not a great fan of the venue as at times, like Monaco, it seems more about the rich and (supposedly) famous. It was quite amusing a year or two ago when Martin Brundle (I am sure he thinks he is a celebrity) was snubbed by one on his grid walk.

No spoilers today if you don't know the result and are planning to watch on Channel 4 or catch-up.
 
It's a catch-up for me this afternoon, and I'm no fan of the Las Vagus circuit either. After his last race result from 17th on the grid, I'm pretty sure who the winner is already! He is a great driver in a great car but I'm not a fan of his.

My favourite drivers are Russell, Norris and dear old Fernando Alonso.

My top three are:

1. Max Verstappen
2. Charles Leclerc
3. Fernando Alonso

I think MSM and pundits are unfair to Max as they were to Michael Schumacher. I met Michael briefly about 20 years ago at Silverstone and he is (was?) a really nice guy. The accident was so sad and made worse by the helmet mounted camera.
 
Schumacher and Max are both cheats! How he can claim the 2021 championship and keep a straight face is beyond me. And Schumacher cheated Damon Hill out of at least one other championship. Theres a strong argument that one of Alonso's championship was also won on very shady ground.
So no, not a big Max fan. Hopefully next year will be a lot closer....
 
Sorry for the late post. I am tied up in another project and trying to verify some information!

The Dubai Sprint Race is on at 2:00 today. Personally I think the she prints are pointless and only there to garner more advertising revenue. Qualifying for the main race is at 18:00.
