I would like to respectfully request forgiveness from the "D" gods, i.e. you lot, as I have shamefully succumed to temptation and eaten a blueberry muffin today :(. I offer no excuses, indeed I can't even come up with a lame excuse except that it was begging me to buy and eat it.
Please forgive me and I promise to get back onto the straight and narrow tomorrow...😳

Your thoroughly enjoyed 54 grams of carbs are forgiven GG! Blueberries are a 'superfood' after all! 😛

Alas I also fell from grace last weekend....

We had to test the wife's new Air Fryer & what better than to make some chips.... As my wife is American I had to try one just to make sure that they turned out right, on determining that the consistency, flavor & texture were OK I gave the rest of the batch to her forgetting that she doesn't do Malt Vinegar.... What am I to do? what is the greater sin, wasting food or eating the chips? Alas, I opted for the latter😱

The next batch fared so much better, giving her a plate of chips she declared (half way through) that she was full so I'm back to my original dilemma!!!

In my defense, I can only say that my wife made me do it!!! 😛

We all need a treat from time to time so you are forgiven. I have just had a slice of yummy carrot cake as my Friday afternoon treat

You bought yourself a blueberry muffin , shock horror and you didn't even think of buying me one, I can forgive you buying yourself one but forgetting to buy one for meee, never :D.
Seriously now, we all need a treat from time to time k ! life would be very dull else and we'd most likely end up going off the rails completely. So an occasional treat is absolutely fine.
As we seem to be owning up to our sins here, I had a not so thin slice of lightly fruited cake yesterday and very nice it was too

Those of us on MDI can absolve our sins with a touch of extra insulin, at least that's what I told myself as I ate the last remaining Tunnocks Teacake after lunch ( family were up and left temptation in my way).

Ohhh I love tunnocks tea cakes. Don't think I could resist one either.

Just had a tiramisu with my tea😳 As mikeyB said just a bit more insulin.

I too have fallen from grace today with a helping of banoffee pie. It was so lonely all by itself in the shop, I just had to take pity on it and I must say it died a lovely death. Thank heavens for MDI.

I frequently eat a muffin or the odd lemon posset. Life is far too short to feel guilt for such things, you enjoyed it, it doesn't happen every day and we all need a bit of a release sometimes. The remainder of the time I'm more virtuous than a monk 😉

You are forgiven...I went mad this afternoon...and had brown 'rocking horse' on my scrambled egg at lunch time...and what's more...no huge spike in BG...so may go onto my okay list...but concerned...all I can think about at this precise moment is a huge blueberry muffin...or a plate of homemade chips doused in(real) malt vinegar...lightly salted...with steam gently rising from the plate...so thank you Martin Kandy and you GG...shall be picturing that all weekend...

ooh Mikey...would happily kill for a Tunnocks Teacake...

While we are on the subject of sin, just had a fresh cream doughnut. It was half price. Actually at 27g carb, could be a lot worse.🙂

The T1 course is DAFNE, Dose Adjustment For Normal Eating, and let's face it, nowadays normal eating for most of the population is a shedload of s***e. So in theory yes, you can eat what you like and bolus for it. In practice it's not that simple if you want to try and maintain some sort of reasonable control. I like to think on the whole my diet's fairly balanced though. 🙂
