Hi and welcome

Maybe try going to another football match in your area a local team or something and see if the same happens.

I have tried other teams and the effect isnt as bad. I watched England and there was barely an increase. I watch other teams on telly and there is no impact. It's my love of City that is my downfall.

welcome! another footie fan 🙂

I've never really paid much attention to mine during football, but I'm going to The Valley tomorrow so I may do an experiment in your honour!!

I'll let you know how I get on! 🙂

That would be really appreciated. Hope you win by at least 4 goals. :D

Stress definitely effects some people more than others. I'm afraid I'm not a footie fan, but stress (due to adrenaline release) can easily raise put me in the mid teens. I eat the same thing for breakfast at a similar time on working days, so mornings/before lunch are usually good for me. If I have stressful morning at work, my bloods go shooting up, to often 14-15. I'm on a pump, so keep thinking afterwards that I should have set a temporary basal, but if I'm that stressed I usually don't have time to think that thought and usually end up correcting mid morning or before lunch. It sounds like you need a bit more insulin to counteract the adrenaline/excitement/stress of watching the game.

And watching or doing downhill mountain biking is more exciting than watching football, isn't it?!?

Agree. The difficulty is that my correction is 7 per unit and the excitment isn't very long lasting. Gonna try a unit 30 mins before the match and be ready with the treats. Will try for telly game first as I will forget to test at a match.

Hope your levels have been ok today, just clocked the score in the fa cup game

It was a moral victory for the blues though. Dodgy sending off and 3-0 down at half time. To pull it back to 2-3 at full time and really being the better side for much of the second half (albeit United had a lot of ineffectual possession) was quite a performance.

Andy 🙂

You didnt watch it contently then?

The corner with 20 seconds remaining was too close for comfort, honestly thought City were going to equalise. Good game of football spoilt by the red card, it was a stupid tackle and I've seen careers ended this way but didn't think it was worthy of a sending off.

Yup shocking refeering but he put his stamp on the game so to speak.
I genuinly thought like you Toby MC would equalise but hay not to be, Man u wil be the favourites now no doubt, but Chelsea are currently comfortably winning 3-0 against Pompey so you can never count them out

No definitely not. The rumours last week about Lamp's going to Man U was laughable:D
