Hello,

Just wondering whether anyone's got experience of injuries to the lower limbs? I've pranged my big toenail pretty bad in a moment of stupidity on the bike today... :(

What I'm concerned about is the length of time it may take to heal.

On the plus side, enforced idling time could permit me to educate myself a little more about this condition...

As a 20+ year diabetic there is a possability that both your sensation circulation might be impaired. Get a doctor or podiatist to check it out. They may prescribe an antibiotic as a precaution if there is a flesh injury. I have seen a big toe problem become a BKA but the chances of that are negligable if you do not neglect the injury.

Please excuse my iggerance 😱
What is a BKA injury?

Thanks guys, I had it dressed at Minor Injuries Unit this morning. I've yanked the toenail off its bed, apparently, so while it's a little sore in itself, I don't think they'll be cutting bits off me yet!
