Hi friends,

I'm scheduled for a foot exam in about a months time. What can I expect to happen during this test and how do the doctors definitively know if I have neuropathy yet?

Kind regards

It's described here: https://www.diabetes.org.uk/guide-t...eet/what-can-i-expect-at-my-annual-foot-check

(As with all your other tests, partly they're going through the motions, and partly they're making sure they have a baseline so they can more easily notice changes. That's especially true for the retinopathy screening (the photos will be retained for comparison). They're not expecting to see any damage from diabetes yet. It might be different if you had Type 2, which may well be undiagnosed for years.)
