Food ideas with photos

Sounds delicious. Does it freeze well? I would have to eat it all as hubby is allergic to coconut, unless I could find a suitable substitute.

Freezes fine. I typically divide it up into batches of 6 slices each and store them in the freezer in zipped sandwich bags. Each bag is breakfast for two days.

I have always enjoyed nigellas recipes but many especially pasta are now off my radar. As I have been overweight for years I tended not to do her puddings.
Her recipe on bluesky today is one I will do at the weekend. I went to the coast yesterday ( less than 20 miles away) and bought some wild sea bass. She has a recipe effectively for potato salad. At this time of the year I like Majorcan new potatoes. I will reduce the number of new potatoes, use yoghurt not buttermilk and as greenery watercress. I live in a part of the country that heaves with asparagus at this time of the year. I may braise some fennel as a side dish.

I put together my wet floor mop today and cleaned the kitchen and bathroom floors. Normally I'm useless at DIY but this was easy. My arthritis had got to the stage where I couldn't stand for long or kneel to get under the very heavy table. Sitting on a chair or the edge of the bath, and using the flexible head, the whole job was done pain free in 15 minutes! Joy!!! This afternoon I'm off to the garden centre to organise my bedding plants and hanging baskets. I still see the same person who did all my plants when I moved here 26 years ago.

B: Boiled egg and soldiers

These pictures make my mouth water. :D

Hi all,

This is my everyday salad that I eat in my office. The first pic is the basics and the second pic is where I add the magic. This has almost no effect on my BG at all.
It is spinach leaves, cucumber, radish, tomato, orange pepper, celery made exciting (!) with feta cheese green olives out of a jar, one hard boiled egg, mayonnaise (2 teaspoons) plenty extra virgin olive oil, walnuts and pecans, home grown chives. I think thats everything. I like the crunch of the celery, the spinach lasts a long time in the fridge, feta adds flavour, egg and mayonnaise have a delicious taste combined, the olives are salty and an acquired taste.
The salad needs making at 6.30am and putting in the fridge til 12 - it just seems to taste better than if its freshly made! I dare say the oil is fattening but it taste great though a little expensive these days. May cost £2 a day.

That sounds like my sort of salad. I used to take that sort of thing when I was at work but had various home grown leaves, rocket, nasturtium, chicory, beetroot, and my colleagues called it my weed salad.

That looks delicious and I would eat all of that except for the celery. I prefer a few slices of fennel bulb for the crunch.
