Next week I'm going on a long bus journey, around six hours, and have no idea what to take to eat. In the past I've just stocked up on any old rubbish snacks but things are different now, having been recently diagnosed type 2. I'd really be grateful for any suggestions please 🙂

Flask of hot drink - I find a fruit teabag works best, as there's no milk to curdle. Or soup.
Bottle of cold water and / or no added sugar squash.
For snacks, things like crunchy sticks eg carrots, celery, peppers etc. Perhaps with a small pot of your choice of dip. Perhaps a few nuts, too.
Or during a 6 hour journey, just a single meal instead of snacks. I guess it depends what time you're travelling.

Thanks. Not keen on fruit tea but will drink black Earl Grey. It will be an early start, around sevenish, until early afternoon...so actually more than six hours. I tend to set off an hour before I need to to get in a brekkie stop in Nero.
