Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Has anyone else suffered from this as a consequence of Diabetes.

I first suffered from this about 9 years ago when my sugar levels first started to get out of control. It is a very painful condition especially for hairy man like myself. The worst place and most painful was when they were up my nose.

This follows on from my previous thread of "Does anyone else fell like me" from a couple of days ago. Once my sugar was reduced these infection went away. Now that I have stopped my other medicine I am worried this will come back. Before I was diagnosed with Diabetes 14years ago I used to get a lot of Abscesses, usually in the groin area. I got rid of those and got Folliculitis instead.

Is this a common complaint of Diabetes?

Not of diabetes itself Alan - only as a result of elevated BG, cos your body can't fight the germs and that's that..

Same as Thrush and UTIs, and abscesses on lady parts for a woman.

Thanks for this, it's a shame my doctor could not have told me this over the yaers.
