Had my flu jab (egg-free) on the 3rd and now I have a big, hard lump at the injection site. It itches and it's very sore to the touch. I had a similar reaction last year though the lump wasn't as big. The lump took about 9 weeks to fade away last time. I feel OK otherwise, should I bother the surgery over it?

Sounds nasty! The GP can't un-jab you, but may prescribe something to help clear up the inflammation.

P.S. If it's on your records that you've reacted this way twice, next year they might give you the nose spray that they give to small children!

I think it's worth mentioning to surgery, esp if you have experienced this before, sounds nasty :(

I haven't bothered calling. The lump seems to have shrunk a bit today and isn't quite as sore. If it's still bothering me on Monday I'll give them a ring.
