Don’t panic ladies. Flower is alive and well and was last seen eating Lindt truffles in the cafe. Surgery was postponed, so the poor lass is still waiting. 😳

Thanks pumper Sue and Amigo but there was a change of plan by the NHS! Surgery was cancelled at the eleventh hour this morning - was due to go in today so I'm back as I was waiting for a new date 🙄 a bucketful of nervous energy expended unnecessarily!

Hope you get your new date soon @Flower. Tough having to prepare yourself for something that doesn't happen. And, even more importantly, hope your next date isn't cancelled at short notice. Most places prioritise those who have been cancelled before, if lists have to be revised.
There must be a reason, although it's difficult to accept sometimes, however understanding you want to be.
I was kept NMB for over 50 hours, while waiting for surgery to clean and stitch wound in my upper arm (gash caused by a driver who didn't look for a cyclist before opening his door - and cyclists aren't exactly rare in Cambridge!) because more serious emergencies requiring plastic surgeon kept coming in. Annoying because an A&E doctor could have cleaned and stitched under local anaesthetic, as I'd suggested!
