This is my first post on the forum (see below)...only posted late last night...already received several positive responses...so after a really bad 'down' day yesterday feeling more positive...and realising with the right support and guidance I can manage this condition.

Hi
diagnosed about five weeks ago...started mid June with a very severe cellulitis infection...followed by a DVT...high blood pressure...diabetes...endometrial biopsy ( still waiting for results )...taking Metformin 500 mgs twice daily ( and other meds) which has greatly reduced my appetite...since starting the Metformin no real interest in food...not even cooking...only just starting to understand what I should be eating...have to admit I am struggling...

Hi Bubbsie and welcome to the forum. This is a great place for help and advice.

Sorry to hear of your diagnosis, I have just had mine today, via the GPs receptionist who said I need to see the nurse for 'diabetic clinic'. Bit of a shock as you will understand, but glad I've found this forum and hope that my fears and uncertainty about what all this means will be somewhat alleviated.
