I was given metformin when diagnosed but started on 1 a day then up to 2 to avoid side effects . I've been lucky and have not side effects and I take on empty stomach in the morning.

I had dreadful side effects as well as the usual consequences of taking Metformin, so I gave up taking them, and the statin too - I was in such a wretched state I really did not care if I lived or died - fortunately my BG levels are normal on diet alone - so I'll stick to that and avoid the tablets.

Because its normally made adding lactase to milk that thransorm the lactose of the milk to glucose and galactose, making the sugar absorption faster. In the process the milk is also overheated and especially the skimmed milk get a "carbonized" taste. In my opinon it's better to get raw whole milk and drink less of it. Of course if one isn't lactose intolerant, but the raw whole milk has a more satisfyng taste.
You could try to some goat milk, has a stronger taste and has naturally a bit less of lactose.

Thank you for the reply. Rats!!! Oh well. Back to just one coffee. I have not found a good alternative to ordinary milk and think I will just cut it out. I really like 3 mugs of coffee in themorning.

Try oat milk. It's the best alternative I think taste wise to cows milk. Also Aldi soya milk is nice and it's cheaper than big brands. I'm not a fan of cashew milk but my daughter loves
